My Journey

In my own words · practical experience

My calisthenics journey began in 2023, when I was 37. I remember watching athletes perform muscle-ups, front levers, planches and bar spins. Their strength, control and freedom of movement fascinated me. I wanted to understand how they did it—and whether I could develop those abilities myself.

I had no shortcuts or formal roadmap. I learned by asking experienced athletes questions, observing how they trained and showing up at my neighborhood park to practise. One movement at a time, one challenge at a time, I began building my own foundation.

What started as curiosity became something much greater. Training taught me that strength is not just physical. It’s built through patience, discipline and the willingness to keep going when progress feels difficult. Along the way, I discovered a level of confidence and resilience that extended far beyond the training ground.

Today, my practice includes muscle-ups, pull-ups and front levers. But the part of this journey that matters most is what I’ve learned along the way—and what I can now share with others.

That’s why I created Coach IQ: to help other adults discover what they’re capable of, regardless of where they’re starting.

Your starting point doesn’t define your potential. Your willingness to begin does.

Coaching is education and practical instruction. Coach IQ doesn’t hold a fitness or medical certification, and no results are promised.

The coaching approach

Step by step

Learn calisthenics one step at a time, at a pace that fits where you’re starting.

Consistent practice

Build strength through regular, consistent practice rather than quick fixes.
